i think ive been a
nick cave fan from birth even though i didnt start listening to his music till high school. his music, poetry, lectures, plays and novel resonate like no others. when i was in college i spent a long time trying to find his novel,
"and the ass saw the angel," and finally found it at a used book store in amsterdam. now you can order it just about
anywhere online. i fell in love with the book and have now read it a several times. it had a dirty southern feel like flanery o'connor that i love. when i heard he had written a screenplay and that it was being made into a movie, i could hardly wait. "the proposition" holds so much; extreme violence, darkness, dirt, history, sadness and longing, depravity and redemption. what a great film!
what im listening to while posting:
modest mouse, "we were dead before the ship even sank"
